The four of us,

it was my first day entering UiTM Dungun. PHB317 was still empty. i was the 1st to enter. i choose the furniture no4. and then someone knocked the door. and that is when i met this tall girl named hasya. we were roommates since then. it was 4 o'clock and we had to go downstairs to start the orientation program. salwa, my other roommate was also there. she was quiet at first. we didn't really know who she is, mhmm mysterious...

at night, salwa finally talked. she ask for my permission and hasya's to bring her friend along to sleep with her. i didn't mind much so i said okay, same as hasya. it was meen. she was just a small yet very funky looking. her terengganu accent was just as solid as salwa's. i was being quiet for the whole week. wonder to find the right friend to be with.

then in week 2, i decided to get to know my roommates. hasya and I have started having conversation, however salwa still quiet. one night, if I'm not mistaken it was on sunday, i went to class. while i was learning CTU in class, hasya was learning terengganu accent with meen in our room. she taught hasya to pronounce the unique, tongue twister words clearly. when i got back, hasya was excited and told me the words that she learnt from meen. i was happy for her because i didn't know any word that she said.

slowly we get to know each other.

it was the night before we have to choose what co-curriculum  we want to be in. i was quite confuse at first. but for sure i didn't want to join PALAPES. I've seen how they were trained in shah alam, it looked so tiring. suddenly meen barged in and asked if we wanted to join Brass Band. i knew nothing about brass band or even play any instrument. but i love music, so i agree to join the club.

every week we go to the co-curriculum meeting together, the 3 of us. i choose to play the marching bell, while hasya and meen wanted to play the drums. few weeks later, meen told us that her previous schoolmate is entering UiTM for the 2nd intake. and she will be joining us in Brass Band. her name is Fatin but people call her Fifi. her also plays the drums. the only thing i envy them is they could bring back the drum sticks and practice. like me? i could only memorize the music notes, but how about the sound? i just recall it by myself.

Samba (Section Leader) & meen

thanks to kak Nadia who taught me the whole day until i got Ludwiq done. and thanks too to kak Farah who helped me with my warm ups. can't wait to get lenggang kangkong, incantation notes.

people always get weird with our answers when they ask "same course?" because the four of us, we don't have any similar course at all.

myra - DCA
hasya - DAIS
meen - DIA
fifi - EE

and don't misjudge us by saying, " eee bdk bdk band," we are friends before we get to know the band. so basically, we are not holding on to the band to make us close. although we do love the band so much!

lately, meen got a nick name from pokcek. it's called 'cekodok ubi' because her nick name in school is ubi. then the nickname thing start to get interesting. meen gave hasya as 'samdol teleng' and me as 'totok songong' because i know a bit of java language. i don't quite remember Fifi's nickname but one of it is 'tonggek'. here's a picture of them. thanks for being so loud and crazy. you guys really cheered me up every time i'm down :)
