It has been 4 weeks since i'm in the pastry kitchen. many things have i went through. The hardest part was to get along with the people in the kitchen itself. I normally dont take time to be friends but if it starts with the wrong way like jokes that i cant take, yeah it'll take time. thankfully now I'm much more close to them. I learned much, thanks to Chef Firdaus who always kept my spirits up everytime i felt like giving up.

I'm a big fan of pastries but dont have much of a chance to do it. Yes i did help my khalas back in the US making cupcakes and sugar cookies but that was like what? 10 years ago? I want to learn more about the complex terms and techniques of pastries. and how lucky i am to be here now. i also learned how to make breads and muffins. although mostly are instant but still you need technique, and it was not a waste to go through the learning process.

  • Assorted Breads for Borak-borak
  • Muffins
Clearly I have a lot more to learn and this wont stop here. every day we learn new things and pastry is indeed one of the things I'd like to master one day. InsyaAllah :)
